Well not exactly, but sort of.
Here's an exam paper. I want you to click the link and read question 1
Now click the mark scheme below and read the answers for question 1
It tells you EXACTLY what to write, how to write it and what other answers they accept! This is a technique I used throughout GCSE and A level in my last minute cramming. Here's how you do it:
#1] Get a past paper on the exam you want to ace. Attempt question 1
#2] Now get the mark scheme and read the answer. If you got it wrong, correct it and write out in full what answer is correct. Got it right? Write down what OTHER answers would be accepted!
#3] Rinse and repeat for every question
But WHY is this so good?
#1] Bitesize chunks: You answer 1 question at a time. No time to get flustered. It's not all in one go. It's manageable
#2] Correct straight away: Rather than waiting till you finish the paper, you correct your work as you go. This means the time between being wrong and getting it corrected is minimised, resulting in less likelihood of repeating the mistake
#3] You learn EXACTLY what the examiner is looking for. The mark scheme is the holy grail of what they want to see from you. By reading this after every question you get into the frame of mind of the examiner and you learn to answer just how they want
This is a technique I'd really recommend to everyone to try once or twice. Even if it doesn't work for you, it's worth having tried it. It might just be the best thing for our revision!
