Let’s be honest.
You are late.
But late does not mean finished. Late just means you now have to be focused, organised, and honest with yourself.
To pass GCSE Maths everyone has an exact of amount of hours they needed to understand enough to pass. You still have the same time requirment. We're putting in a shorter time frame.
Panic won’t help you. Control will.
Key Problems
You haven’t started yet. So everything feels heavier and more urgent.
You don’t know where to start. Which makes you do nothing.
You’re in panic mode. Your brain is shouting: “I’ve messed it up.” “It’s too much.”
That panic freezes action.
Action 1: Accept the Situation Without Excuses
No blaming. No guilt. No pretending.
Say: “I’m late. And I’m starting now.”
That sentence puts control back in your hands.
This will take work. But it is still possible.
Action 2: Build Your Topic List Immediately
You cannot revise without a map.
Go to: Maths Genie → GCSE page
Find:
Your current grade
The topic list
Write it down. That is your revision plan.
Not everything.Just what applies to you.
Action 3: Start With the Easiest Wins
Your confidence needs rebuilding fast.
Choose:
Simple topics
Grade-appropriate content
Questions you can succeed on
Success builds momentum. Momentum beats motivation.
Action 4: Create a Non-Negotiable Routine
No huge sessions. No unrealistic plans.
Start with:
30 minutes
Every day
Same time.Same place.
Consistency first. Intensity later.
Action 5: Track Effort, Not Emotion
Not: “I feel behind.”
But: “I did my session today.”
Effort is controllable.Feelings are not.
Action 6: Take Ownership Fully
This is your responsibility now.
Not your teacher’s.Not your parents’.Not your tutor’s.
Your future improves when your habits change.
Final Thought
You’re late.But you’re not powerless.
Start today.Stay consistent.Take control.
